Happy February!
Was January 45 days long to you? Just me? Well, anyway, regardless of how long or short it felt to you, I was able to complete 4 projects during this first month of 2023. You might remember that I had 5 projects planned, but I'll get to that.
First, I completed this lovely little bookmark. It was fast to make, taking a few hours. The hardest part was trying to figure out how to hold the yarn, since it was so small. I have been able to use it in a few books so far this year as well.
Second, I made this car trash bag. While my car is still a mess, it does look cute in there! This was a bit of a pain to make, simply because it took forever to work up. Also, I had used old yarn, which didn't slide very easily. This took around 5 hours or so. It was a conversation starter at my daughter's martial arts practice!
Third, I made a water bottle holder. Have I used it? No. But my daughter did use it with her dolls the other day. (haha) It fits my water bottles, I just need to improve my water drinking habit.
Finally, I made this sweater! After making the back and sides, having to redo it, then adding the sleeves, sewing it together, making the collar (that would never end), sewing the collar on at midnight because I was so ready to be done, then sewing on the buttons and the loops, the sweater saga has come to an end.
I mean, remember how it started??
Now, what I didn't get to...
I was planning on doing a project that involved a "new to me" stitch. Well, when this week came around, I really wanted to finish the sweater. Also, by this point, I had already used 3 new stitches to me, so I figured that counted. Also, I need some compression gloves so I don't get carpel tunnel. Any suggestions?
Until the next time,
Kendra
