The 2023 Crochet Challenge!

I am so excited to announce the 2023 crochet challenge! 

What is the 2023 crochet challenge you ask? Well, it is a crochet challenge that I have made up in an attempt to become better at crocheting.

I am a new crocheter, with only 6 months of experience, but I love it! I have yet to come across a pattern that I didn't enjoy figuring out or find something that I was too afraid to tackle. While I still have this mindset, I want to run with it and see how to improve my skills over this upcoming year.

So...What is the challenge, exactly? Well, the challenge is, at it's most basic, one new project a week, with one larger project a month. Every week will have a theme/prompt that can be interpreted in different ways. For example, one week might be "bookmarks". There are a ton of bookmark patterns, and you pick whichever one you want to do or make up your own. Other weeks might be to make something that involves a stitch that is new to you or one that you don't use often. 

For the bigger monthly project, you can do whatever you think is a large project for you. For me, that includes blankets, sweaters, rugs, etc. Basically anything that you think will take more than a week to make (without crocheting for hours and hours everyday!) 

This challenge starts on January 1st. I'm excited to see what happens and to see all of the beautiful things that we can make. I hope you join me!
